Mama and I need a shopping fix. We hit Holiday Mart again and left with empty hands and mostly full wallets.
Most of the boutiques that we loved, weren’t there. They must not need the publicity anymore. The clothing selection looked liked it was purchased online and overseas. Just not the quality and style we were looking for. We made up for it with a shopping cart full at TJ. Ahhhh we felt better!
Mom offered to make a turkey. Mannie wanted lasagna. Mannie rules the roost and even dressed up for the festivities. Then he requested a selfie.
CS has a built in selfie stick. I tested out my new real selfie stick that I swore I would never own. It was free, so I call it a wash.
To get our Thanksgiving turkey, we headed west to visit the lake CS grew up around, a beautiful sunset on Smithville Lake.
My tour guides!
To add a little fun, everyone donned Thanksgiving themed headgear.
J-Man and I collaborated on some decorations for the table.
Previously. Time for a road trip with my resident make-up advisor!
After a quick oh shit moment, we made a hot stop at the Macy’s make-up counter to get some touch ups done. They were closing in 45 minutes and the Bengals game just let out. These girls were eager to help us.
You have to look good when seeing Fitz & The Tantrums! Sing it please!
I act like a fool hearing this music. Actually witnessing it, I’m a woo girl. I love these guys! On the drive, I did make a plea to them.
I got my wish!
I wonder how much a confetti cannon operator makes?
I secured a front row seat the 2016 BMW Championship. I love calling in favors because I don’t mind repaying them. I was excited to see a lot of the newer players this year. I really wanted to see the Stache.
There were a bunch others, like Jordan Spieth, Louis Oosthuizen and Branden Grace. Since it’s been a hot minute since the event, I have no idea who this is or who is in several of my other pictures but I’m going with Dustin Johnson.
Great way to spend a day with a friend!
As we dodged the rain clouds and hydrated, we stumbled across someone’s lost stash not stache. After trying to find the hidden cameras or undercover cops, the table in front of us noticed our awkward behavior.
It ain’t legal here, but they were taking the goods.
Did you know every day, there are 22 Veterans in our country that commit suicide?
CS was challenged to raise awareness for this issue using push-ups. The rules from 22Kill are simple:
Once you are nominated your 22 days start the following day.
Every day you record yourself doing 22 push-ups. Try your best to reach 22. If that means doing assisted (from your knees) push-ups or that you have to stop and take a break that’s fine but try to get them all done in one video.
Every day you must nominate a different person. Try to choose people you think will want to do this and/or have the ability to do it.
And finally, have fun with this. This is a simple and fun way to get the word out about a matter that more people need to be aware about.
These brave men and women put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms. It is very sad that so many Veterans feel that suicide is the only way out. Pay it forward if you agree.
I accepted my nomination. Today I nominate… Brandon Fuller.
If a doctor says it, it must be true. He looked me straight in the eye and said “You have big cups. That’s a good thing.” My healthy optic nerve needs a big cup. Ask your Optometrist for your cup size!
After going through several leadership development programs and assessments, I stared at a pile of reports that I didn’t know what to do with nor had the time to think about it. Now that I have time back in my life, I put my noodle to work.
Your resume, or LinkedIn profile, highlights your job experience. I wanted something that highlighted my strengths. And not strengths because I think they are strengths. Strengths because a 3rd party says they are.
