Over the weekend, we headed to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s Opening Night Gala!
Next time I see you, ask me about the jerk IU license plate that decided he would inconvenience the rest of us on the Circle so he could get to his seats. I’m a problem solver, so I solved a valet parking situation. I get shit done.
I love events where you walk in and are served champagne.
We took our seats in the Mezzanine and were welcomed by a giant Peyton Manning. Met some of the producers of the show at dinner and they said the Peyton video was a surprise for a lot of the ISO staff. It’s great when you can pull that off.
Beautiful view from our seats.
In planning my own event and helping Mom, I’m always intrigued with the decor the planning committees have to devise.
We were treated to some excellent performers. With Jack Everly in the Captain’s chair, Zach De Pue reminded me why it was smart for me to quit the violin in 5th grade.
George Takei gave a powerful speech on Abe Lincoln.
Angela Brown belted it out!
I missed a photo of Megan Hilty. She was equally great. Finished with Thomas Lauderdale on the ivories.
After the show, it was time for the reception. I think CS thought he was riding the Marquette shuttle.
Matching table decor to what graced the Hilbert Circle Theatre. Seriously, hard to draw large and small scale decor together.
The menu was quite fitting for my palette. Steak, potato, broccoli. Damn. Didn’t wear my stretchy pants.
I ate the main course to fast. No pic.
Arts, Peace & Good Night!
