Grabbed a few friends and attend the annual fundraiser for the Indianapolis Children’s Choir. It was not just another chicken dinner.
Everything was so delicious!
I heard the dessert was great, not my thing but it looked pretty!
We didn’t win anything in the silent auction. Maybe the live auction will treat us better! We didn’t get the front row seat, this guy did… well, I guess that’s ok since he and the Mrs. were the event’s Honorary Chairs!
We were treated to several songs by the different choir groups. Several. Feedback to the group would be to cut down some songs. It was a long event. Long.
Last year, Herbie decided to make Easter all about him. Dick move, and I let him know I felt that way. This year, we were celebrating! When you invite the hostess with the most-est to your place for Easter lunch, you must have a suitable center piece. This was my attempt!
Fresh flowers adorned with Peeps and jelly beans. Mannie even got into the spirit…
Let’s eat some ham!
After a full tummy of ham, potatoes, deviled eggs, baked beans, rolls, cake… we needed to walk it off. Mom was impressed with the flowering trees in the community. Sounds like an old person thing but I will admit, these were pretty cool.
When we bought the ham, we had few to choose from. 12-15 pounds each! It’s only 5 of us. So we have leftovers for days. What to do? Make ham sandwiches!
I’ve eaten ham 3 days in a row! I’m done with it, send me your shipping address. And don’t tell CS.
When you want to take your parents on vacation, but only kinda…
You put them in their own condo on the other side of the building! Just kidding, we love traveling with them!
Back to Gulf Shores we go!
We had beautiful weather most of the week. One storm rolled in but was welcomed and took our clan out to do some retail therapy.
Most days looked like this…
We hit all our favorite spots again. We had some newcomers to initiate. First stop, I needed to see my furry friends!
Look at her hands! So tiny and gentle.
Mom loved it.
And they loved her, Lemur attack!
That’s pure joy in her face! CS managed to stay lemur-pee-free this time.
The newbies were a bit timid, but they said they would do it again!
Ft Morgan is another tourist attraction we had to hit. Everyone set off to explore.
I love walking around this place imaging what it was really like. Last time we missed the Moon Lander while visiting the Blue Angels. Dad was on a mission to see it. You can’t fathom that people actually believed this would work…
Let’s see the practice!
By the end of the week with all the sun, it was easy to get chilled. Coats, coffee and cocoa were on the menu. Are we at the coast?!
BS found our new little friend at the bottom of the pool. That’s a tic-tac next to him. He’s so small! BS had eagle eye with his goggles.
Let’s travel! I always get asked on our later Colorado trips, “Will there be snow?” Oh yes. When you are at 10,000 feet, there is plenty.
B upgraded the girls annual passes to Copper this year. CS and I love Copper so we were excited.
With all 3 Fuller girls on skis this year, we maximized the 6 seater chair.
I even packed a selfie stick to get some group shots.
I’m learning how to use it. I hooked it all up without realizing I clamped down on the take-a-picture-button on the side. I got 198 photos of my skis in 5 seconds.
It’s hard trying to get all that shit out on the chair, not fall off, and not lose any gear to the ground below. Kayla was my rockstar this year! She had new longer skis and mastered them like a champ.
Syd was our navigator with Reagan at her side. They lead us down the slopes all day long!
It was very fun for me to watch B and his girls. They all have come a long way from when we first started doing this.
After skiing all day, I thought these girls would be down in bed quickly. Nope! Dance battle ensued.
After I took a turn, Kayla was looking for her next victim. It was Future uncle.
We had a new player this year. A new doggie. I tried to accommodate her when the girls had to head back to town for some soccer. Hindsight, I should have left her alone. But she looked like mix of my last 2 dogs. I couldn’t resist and it costed me. I was down in bed with an allergy attack like no other for 2 days.
We spent a day walking around Leadville. Repeat, yes they have snow. Up to the roof!
One of my favorite thrift shops has been replaced with a grow shop. Highest weed shop around. Get it?! It’s at 10,000 feet.
While I’m reading my Ellen book, she talks about being in Colorado and wanting to see what her readers are doing. Well, cool! I’ll show you! I took to Twitter hoping @TheEllenShow would catch on.
I got a few likes, but not my break through moment. Try #1 got a better response. Until next time, see ya Rockies!
