Mom sent over a few pictures from Thanksgiving that shows what all I got roped into by coming home. First, Hedbanz. The concept is simple. The execution can be tough.

Another player puts a card into your headband that says "I am a <blank>". The blank can be an animal, an object, a piece of clothing, food, anything really. As you read other people's cards, you think this is going to be a piece of cake. When its your turn, you are only allowed to ask Yes or No questions. Am I an animal? Based on that you keep going down whatever question roads you want until time runs out. If you miss, you are stuck until you solve it. As adults we were way over analyzing and the kids would just randomly try to guess without any question. I'm the genius that got stuck on "I am a dragon" for 4 turns. I knew I was an animal with 4 legs, no fur, but I could live anywhere. Good game for players of all ages. Plus I think I need to make an adult version.
Next, Christmas light decorating. This was something I had not done in 15+ years. Dad invented a pole to get to the tops of the trees, so we enlisted the help of our tallest vistor to get the job done!

I told my parents that just because we put them up, doesn't mean we are required to come back to take them down.
