Oh my. We did it.
Most people didn't give Purdue a snowball's chance in hell to survive more than 1 game in the tournament. Me included. I only filled out 1 free bracket this year because of my piss poor attitude about the Big Dance, but was happily proved wrong last night as the Boiler's defeated Texas A&M. I threw pillows, jumped on the couch and pounded on the walls. I was a mess.
So was the game. I never felt like we really had control of it. As soon as we'd rally, they'd come back too. JJ was off the first half. Moore lost the ball right at the end and nearly cost us the game. LewJack was outsized. Kramer literally lost his shoe, but in Kramer style, ran down the court to play without it. He ended up getting us the win in OT and scoring 17 points shows he can shoot when he puts his mind to it. No mention or camera time for Mr. ACL which I am ok with. I'm not even sure if he was there. The focus needs to be on the team we have, not the players we don't. We have a week to regroup and come out strong against the Puke Blue Devils. I'd like to see some revenge for the game last year at our house. Boiler Up!
